Jail Support Services Division

The Jail Support Services Division of the Monterey County Sheriff's Office is integral to the rehabilitation and welfare of incarcerated persons within the county jail. This division is dedicated to providing a range of critical services that address both the immediate and long-term needs of the incarcerated population, including substance abuse treatment programs and various educational and vocational training opportunities. The focus on substance abuse treatment involves comprehensive programs designed to reduce dependency, address underlying issues, and prepare incarcerated persons for reintegration into society.

Additionally, the division's training initiatives equip incarcerated persons with valuable skills and certifications that can aid in their transition post-release, ultimately aiming to reduce recidivism and help individuals lead productive lives. Through these efforts, the Jail Support Services Division not only enhances the safety and operation of the jail but also contributes positively to the community by fostering rehabilitation and personal growth among incarcerated persons.
