The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP) assumed responsibility at midnight, January 1, 2026, as the new correctional healthcare provider for Monterey County Jail. CHP brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, comprehensive healthcare services to those in our custody.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest gratitude to California Forensic Medical Group (CFMG) for more than 40 years of dedicated service providing healthcare to the incarcerated population of the Monterey County Jail. CFMG’s commitment to quality care and professionalism has been an integral part of our correctional system for decades.
Sheriff Tina Nieto highlighted, "We sincerely thank California Forensic Medical Group for their four decades of exceptional service to Monterey County. Their dedication to the health and well-being of our incarcerated population has set a high standard of care. As we begin a new year, CHP brings extensive experience in correctional healthcare, with a focus on integrated medical and mental health services, continuity of care, and close collaboration with facility leadership. CHP’s clinical teams are onsite, supporting safe, consistent, and responsive healthcare delivery within the Monterey County Jail facility.
