The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Thursday evening in the Boronda area of Salinas.

On December 25th, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of Cranford Road following reports of a drive-by shooting. Upon arrival, deputies determined that multiple shots had been fired from a passing vehicle. The gunfire struck multiple vehcles and a residence that was occupied at the time.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

This investigation is ongoing. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time or witnessed suspicious activity to contact investigators. Additionally, residents and local businesses in the area are encouraged to review any available video surveillance that may assist in identifying those involved.
