TYPE OF INCIDENT: Monterey County Resident Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

A subject being investigated by Monterey County Sheriff’s Office detectives for possession of child pornography has voluntarily surrendered himself.

On March 4th, 2026, Monterey County Detectives working in the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, served a Search Warrant along Berry Drive in rural Salinas. During the execution of the search warrant, multiple electronic devices were seized.

On May 18th, 2026, after follow-up search warrants and investigation, the suspect in this case surrendered himself to law enforcement at the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect in this case, Jonathan D. Berry, is currently being charged with 311.11 (a) PC possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and was booked at the Monterey County Jail.
