On the morning of Friday July 19th, 2024, Monterey County Sheriff’s Detectives, assisted by the Monterey County Sheriff’s SWAT team, served a search warrant at an illegal cannabis growing site on the 33,000 block of Carmel Valley Road, in Carmel Valley.
A total of 196 pound of processed cannabis along with 103 cannabis plants still under cultivation were seized. Over $22,000 in counterfeit US currency was located, in addition to a total of 11 firearms that included an assault rifle and an un-serialized semi-automatic rifle.
This case remains under investigation by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
