The Monterey County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the identity of the woman found deceased in the Salinas Riverbed on Sunday December 14th, 2025. She has been identified as 32-year-old Monica Yazaret Almanza Romero of Greenfield.

The investigation into the cause of death is pending results of a forensic examination.
