TYPE OF INCIDENT: Detectives Investigating Murder/Attempted Suicide Incident

LOCATION: High Meadows Community, Carmel, California

Monterey County Sheriff’s detectives are currently investigating a murder/attempted suicide incident that occurred in the High Meadows Community of Carmel just after 4:00 AM on July 24th, 2025. One person is confirmed to be deceased. The suspect is currently being treated for self-inflicted life-threatening injuries.

This is an active investigation and additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
