One person has been confirmed deceased in what appears to be a murder / attempted suicide in the High Meadows Community of Carmel, California.
On Thursday July 24th, 2025, at about 4:22 AM, a call was made to 9-1-1 by a male stating he had just murdered his wife. Deputies and emergency services personnel responded to a residence on the 3700 block of Raymond Way in Carmel. Upon arrival, they located a male and female in a bedroom. The female was found unresponsive with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The male was found with multiple life-threatening stab wounds and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Names of the involved parties are not being released at this time pending notification to family.
Monterey County Sheriff Tina Nieto said, “This is a tragic situation that nobody ever wants to hear about happening in their community. Our deputies and detectives are working to try and determine exactly what happened. Our prayers are with all those affected by this situation.”
This is an active crime investigation.
