Press Release: MCSO Continues to Seek Help From Community in Prunedale Sideshow Homicide

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Continues to Ask the Public for Information related to Active Prunedale Sideshow Homicide Investigation

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is informing the public that no arrests have been made in the Prunedale sideshow homicide case. Although there has been social media chatter about another arrest, that case is unrelated to our murder investigation.

Monterey County Sheriff’s Detectives continue to ask the public to contact us with any information, videos, or photos you may have of the Prunedale sideshow.

On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at about 10:25 PM, Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Prunedale Road South and Blackie Road for a report of person that had been shot during a vehicle sideshow. Deputies arrived and located 18-year-old Adrian Puga of Salinas who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound. Puga was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Monterey County Sheriff’s detectives are grateful for all those who have reached out to provide information to us. We ask that anyone who has any information, video footage or photos related to or taken at the sideshow location, please contact our detectives. You can contact Detective R. We encourage anyone with information to please come forward as we continue our efforts into locating those responsible for Adrian Puga’s tragic death.
