The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has located a body along the Pajaro River levee west of the Bridge that connects the community of Pajaro to the City of Watsonville.
On April 10th, 2025, Monterey County Sheriff’s Office detectives received information leading them to believe there was a possible body that had been buried along the Pajaro River levee. Detectives responded to the area around 3:00 PM and began searching. At approximately 8:00 PM, detectives located a body that had been buried in the general area described.
This is an active investigation. A post-mortem forensic examination will be performed by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Coroner division to determine the identity of the decedent.
